American singer-songwriter SZA has won 81 awards, including seven Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, eight BET Awards, three American Music Awards, six Soul Train Music Awards, and one Brit Award. After beginning her career with two SoundCloud-exclusive EPs, SZA signed to the label Top Dawg Entertainment in 2013, under which she released her third EP and her debut studio album, Ctrl (2017). Due to her work on the album, she earned her first five Grammy nominations and landed herself many Best New Artist nods, winning the ones for the Soul Train Music Awards in 2017 and for the BET Awards in 2018. Highly acclaimed by critics, Ctrl has appeared in several lists of the best 2010s albums as well as the best debut albums of all time.
