The track was written by lead singer Adam Levine, Starrah, Gian Stone, Cirkut, and Jason Evigan, with the latter two serving as producers. A second version featuring and co-written by American rapper Cardi B was released on May 31, 2018, as the album's fifth and final single. The single version was included on the re-release edition of the album.
